Attention all beginner gardeners! Have you ever wanted to start your plants from seed but don’t know where to begin? Join our workshop on how to start seeds indoors and get a head start on your garden this season!
In this workshop, you will learn the basics of seed starting, including selecting the right equipment, preparing soil mixes, sowing seeds, and caring for seedlings. You will also learn about the different types of lighting and how to provide adequate lighting for your seedlings.
For the workshop, we will supply the following equipment:
- Seed starting trays or pots
- Soil mix
- A variety of annual flower & vegetable seeds
- Labels
Once home, you will need to provide adequate lighting for your seedlings. We will cover the different types of lighting, but we recommend using either fluorescent or LED grow lights to ensure your seedlings receive the right amount of light.

Bottled water will be available but you are free to bring a beverage of your choosing. Bring gloves if you wish to not get soil under your nails. Wear comfortable shoes.
